Cedar Bean's June artist, Janet O’Neil is a Professor of Graphic Design and the Director of the Graphic Design Program at the Fairleigh Dickinson University School of the Arts. She has created and supported several student-run exhibits with colleagues that feature art, writing, and service learning.  Janet has employed her artistic skills as an art director, animator, graphic designer, web designer, and illustrator. She loves to design for the home decor market and is currently illustrating two books.  An avid hiker, she paints many images from nature.  She works in all mediums including digital tools, pen and ink, oil, watercolor, and acrylics to create mixed-media artwork. Janet has painted over 100 animal portraits for many rescues and shelters, bringing attention to animal welfare issues.

Her work will be on display and for sale until June 31st, 2024, with 20% of proceeds going to an art scholarship from Cedar Bean's Coffee Joint.
