Bright citrus • Milk chocolate • Caramelized sweetness • Clean finish

In the heart of Guatemala’s famed Antigua region, where volcanoes frame the skyline and volcanic soils feed rich coffee heritage, José Adolfo Hernández continues a family legacy of connection to the land and dedication to craft.
For years, José Adolfo has managed the family-run farm Finca San José Buena Vista, nestled in the Ciudad Vieja district of Sacatepéquez department. With its elevation ranging from approximately 1,450 to 1,560 meters and nourished by volcanic ash, the farm offers an exceptional terroir for growing Arabica varietals.
On the volcanic slopes of Antigua Guatemala, where the soil is dark and alive and the mornings smell faintly of smoke and rain, José Adolfo Hernández and his family tend to their 4.5-hectare farm, Finca Buena Vista.
Here, every cherry is hand-picked under the shadow of Volcán de Agua, then carried down the hill to be washed, honey-dried, or naturally processed under the Central American sun. The result is a coffee that tells a story — of volcanic earth, careful hands, and a family whose craft has turned generations of work into liquid art.
It’s the kind of cup that begins bright, almost citrusy, with a touch of honeyed caramel and milk chocolate at its heart. It finishes clean — balanced, honest, and distinctly Guatemalan.
